Pediatric Feeding Workshop for Clinicians
We’re pleased to announce that Mealtime Connections is coming to The Lotus Tree to present a workshop on pediatric feeding this August 24-25, 2018. The Get Permission Approach: Clinical Reasoning in Pediatric Feeding Treatment is part two of the ‘Get Permission Approach to Sensory Mealtime Challenges’, by Marsha Dunn Klein, MEd, OTR/L, FAOTA and Karen Dilfer, OTR/L. While it is part two of the workshop series, it is not necessary to have attended part one to attend this course.
Clinicians will be able to synthesize information from the Get Permission Approach to adapt treatment strategies, create goals, and document progress for successful mealtimes – while using an empowering approach for parents and children.
This course provides functional application of strategies to redefine “try it”, techniques for transitioning to solids, and discussion for plateaus from tube feeding to oral feeding. Learn how to further your collaborative approach with families for supporting the “anxious eater” and successfully implement strategies based on an established partnership while following the child’s cues.
The cost for attendance is $600.
